Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 23, 2026

Felt is a training log for runners, provided by 8px LLC (“Felt”, “we”, “us”). What you record in Felt belongs to you.

This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, with whom we share it, how long we keep it, and the rights you have over it.

The short version

  • What we keepYour sessions, your preps and your account, stored in Paris.
We treat all of it as health data.
  • DictationYour words go to Anthropic (Claude), in the US, to fill in your session.
Kept up to 30 days, never used for training.
  • AgentsClaude and ChatGPT read your log only if you connect them.
Their own privacy rules then apply.
  • Never soldNo ads, no trackers.
We never sell your data, to anyone.
  • Your choiceExport all of your log, or delete it all, from the app.
For anything else, write to privacy@felt.run.

The full policy follows. It is the one that counts.

1. Data We Collect

We collect the following personal data:

  • Sessions. Your words, the numbers (distance, duration, heart rate and others), the tags, and the sessions you plan.
  • Preps. Their name and dates, and the race and goal time where you provide them.
  • Session history. Every change to a session, who made it (you, an agent, a dictation or an import), and when.
  • Dictation transcripts. The text of your dictations, as transcribed. It is not displayed in the app, but it is included in your export.
  • Runner page and settings. Your runner page (heart rate zones, records, gear), if you have one, your time zone, and the language in which you dictate.
  • Account. Your email address, your name, and your Google or Apple identifier.

Health data

What you write, dictate or import into Felt (how you felt, an injury, an illness, your heart rate, your sleep, your weight) may reveal information about your health. We therefore treat your entire log as health data, and protect it accordingly.

Data we do not keep

We never keep recordings of your voice. When you import a watch file, its GPS track is removed on your device before the file is sent. We keep the rest (heart rate, laps, elevation, calories) with your log.

2. How We Use Your Data

We use your personal data to:

  • keep your log and display it on each of your devices;
  • allow the agents you connect to read your log and write in it (Section 5);
  • diagnose and fix errors.

Felt contains no advertising, no analytics and no trackers, and we do not sell your data.

Anonymous statistics

We may compute statistics across many runners, for example how runners feel two weeks before a marathon. Such statistics contain only figures for a group: never the log of an individual runner, never a group of fewer than 20 runners, and nothing that could lead back to you. We do not compute any statistics today.

4. How We Share Your Data

We rely on a small number of service providers, each of which receives only the data it needs. Supabase, Vercel and Anthropic process data under a data processing agreement with us.

ProviderRole
SupabaseStores your log and handles sign-in, in Paris, France.
VercelRuns Felt's server, in Paris, France. Keeps its server logs for one hour.
AnthropicReads the text of your dictations, and the numbers in the words you type, in the United States (see below).
SentryReceives error reports, when they are enabled, in its European region.
Google, AppleSign-in, if you choose it. With Google, your profile picture is loaded from Google.

Error reports are designed to show where the code failed, not what you wrote: quoted text, numbers, the content that was sent, cookies and your account details are removed before a report leaves.

We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with anyone else.

Dictation

Dictation is currently available in the Mac app only. On the web, recordings are refused and not kept.

In the Mac app, Whisper transcribes your voice on the Mac itself. The audio never leaves your Mac, and it is deleted immediately afterwards.

We then send the transcribed text, never the audio, to Anthropic in the United States, to read the numbers and fill in your session. The request also contains the date and time, the session from which you dictated, and the names of your tags. It never contains your other sessions.

Words you type are sent too, but only those that contain a digit, and only once you leave the editor: Felt reads the numbers in them to fill your session’s card. The request holds the same things as a dictation. Words without a digit are never sent, and the demo sends nothing.

Anthropic retains this text for up to 30 days and does not use it to train its models.

This request is made by Felt, under its own agreement with Anthropic. It is separate from any agent you connect yourself (Section 5).

5. Agents You Connect

You may connect an AI agent to your log, such as Claude, by Anthropic, or ChatGPT, by OpenAI. Only you can connect an agent; we never connect one on your behalf.

Agents connect through OAuth. You sign in to Felt, and a consent page shows the name of the agent and where the access goes, with the options Allow and Deny.

Once authorised, an agent can read your sessions, your preps and your runner page, and write in your log: a planned session, or a session you described to it. It can also cancel, move, tag or restore a session. Everything an agent writes is signed with its name in the session’s history.

Data that an agent reads through Felt’s connector (MCP) is sent to that agent’s provider. It is then governed by your own account with that provider and by its privacy policy, not by this one: Anthropic’s for Claude, OpenAI’s for ChatGPT.

You can disconnect an agent at any time, by removing Felt from its connectors or by writing to us so that we revoke its access.

6. Data Retention

  • Your log, its history and your dictation transcripts: for as long as your account exists.
  • Sessions and preps you delete: removed from your journal, but kept, and included in your export, until your account is deleted.
  • Dictation text, and typed words that contain a digit, at Anthropic: up to 30 days.
  • Vercel server logs: one hour.

When you delete your account, all of its data is deleted at once, subject to the backups described in Section 8.

7. Storage and Security

  • Your log is stored by Supabase in Paris, France. It is encrypted in transit and at rest.
  • Each runner can read only their own log. This rule is enforced by the database itself.
  • Felt’s server runs on Vercel, in Paris.
  • In the Mac app, your log is also stored as a folder of text files on your Mac. When you sign in, it stays in sync with your account.

8. Your Rights

Wherever you live, you have the right to access your data, to correct it, to delete it, to receive a copy of it, to object to its use, and to withdraw your consent. To exercise these rights, write to privacy@felt.run. We respond within one month.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the data protection authority of your country. In France, this is the CNIL.

Exporting your data

“Export my journal”, in the menu under your name, produces a zip archive of plain text files: every session with its history, the sessions you deleted, your preps, your tags, and your dictation transcripts. Export is free and available at any time.

Deleting your account

In the app, open the account menu (your name, at the bottom of the navigation), choose “Delete account”, and type “delete”. The following are deleted at once: your sessions, your words, your preps, your tags, your dictation transcripts, your files, the access of the agents you connected, and the app’s folder on the Mac from which you delete.

You may also write to privacy@felt.run from the email address of your account, and we will delete it for you.

Backups and data already shared

Felt’s database currently has no backups, so no copy remains after deletion. Once Felt moves to a plan with daily backups, a deleted log may remain in them for up to 7 days, until they expire.

Data already shared remains where it was sent: dictation text and typed words with a digit at Anthropic for up to 30 days, and what Claude or ChatGPT read, in your conversations with them. Another Mac keeps its own copy until you remove the app from it.

9. International Transfers

Supabase, Vercel and Anthropic are United States companies. Your log is stored in the European Union. Of the data Felt itself sends, only the text of your dictations, and of the words you type that contain a digit, is processed in the United States, by Anthropic. This transfer is covered by the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.

10. Cookies

Felt uses only the cookies it needs to function: one keeps you signed in, two remember whether you last signed in with Google or Apple, and, in the demo, one stores the changes you make there. Display settings, such as the theme, are stored in your browser. We use no advertising or tracking cookies.

11. Children

Felt is intended for people aged 16 and over. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 16, we delete it.

12. Changes to This Policy

When we update this policy, we change the date at the top of this page.

13. Contact Us

Felt is provided by 8px LLC, 30 N Gould St, Ste R, Sheridan, WY 82801, USA, which is the controller of your personal data. For any question about this policy or your data, write to privacy@felt.run.
